4 Upcoming Maruti Facelifts to Watch Out For

Maruti Baleno and Fronx facelift arriving soon Brezza facelift to get underbody CNG tank Grand Vitara facelift to get ADAS

Maruti Suzuki is currently in the middle of an aggressive product overhaul. By March 2027, four of Maruti’s top-sellers - the Brezza, Fronx, Grand Vitara and Baleno - are slated for major facelifts. These four models are scheduled to be launched by March 2027.

1. Maruti Brezza Facelift

The Brezza remains the brand’s top-selling model in the compact SUV segment; however, it is facing tough competition from the likes of the Tata Nexon and Hyundai Venue. In order to retain sales, MSIL is set to give a mid-life upgrade to the Brezza compact SUV.

- Engine Options: the new Maruti Suzuki Brezza will continue to be offered with the 1.5L K15C engine with a 48V mild-hybrid setup, paired with a 5-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic gearbox. It will also receive a 1.0L 3-cylinder turbo petrol engine, which will be paired with a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed AT.

- Underbody CNG Tank: Similar to the Victoris, the Maruti Suzuki Brezza facelift will come with an underbody CNG tank. This will help Maruti to free up boot space. In the CNG mode, the powertrain offers 87bhp and 121.5Nm of torque.

- Key Features: the new SUV will receive a larger 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment unit with new user interface, a 360-degree surround view camera, powered driver’s seat and ventilated front seats.

2. Maruti Fronx Facelift

Maruti Suzuki has started testing the Fronx facelift, which is expected to be introduced sometime by 2026. The updated model will receive subtle design and interior changes.

- More Features: the Fronx facelift is likely to receive a revised “Crystal Block” LED DRL design, a new electric sunroof and ADAS tech.

- Series hybrid: the new crossover is likely to debut Maruti Suzuki’s new Series hybrid powertrain, which features a 1.2L 3-cylinder NA petrol engine, a small battery pack and an electric motor. The 1.2L Z12E 3-cylinder petrol engine, which acts purely as a generator to charge a battery pack. MSIL is targeting a record-breaking mileage of 30-35kmpl, making the new Fronx hybrid the most fuel efficient car in the country.

3. Maruti Baleno Facelift

The Baleno facelift will come with fresh design changes, more features, and a possible hybrid engine, making it more competitive in the premium hatchback segment.

- Updated design: the updated hatchback will get a refreshed front and rear design. It comes with a new grille, updated headlamps, redesigned bumper, updated rear bumper and LED tail-lamps.

- More Features: it is likely to get a larger 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment unit, a fully digital instrument cluster, a 360-degree camera, wireless charger, and improved connectivity features.

- Engine Options: it is expected to retain the 1.2-litre NA petrol engine with manual and AMT. MSIL could also get a 1.0L turbo petrol engine with 6MT and 6AT.

4. Maruti Grand Vitara Facelift

Maruti Suzuki is preparing to give a mid-life facelift to its NEXA-only Grand Vitara. The updated model will receive advanced tech features, which are missing in the current model.

- Advanced Safety: the Grand Vitara facelift will come with LEVEL 2 ADAS tech with features like adaptive cruise control, autonomous emergency braking, lane assist and others.

- More Features: it is expected to get a bigger 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment unit with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, powered driver’s seat, underbody CNG tank, and a fully digital 10.25-inch instrument console.
