Ford has been planning to bring back the EcoSport in the European market. The new-gen model could arrive as a larger SUV which will strongly rival the latest Duster. Let's read what we know so far about the fresh EcoSport.
The new-gen EcoSport will be bigger in size and, hence, will provide more space inside. It could share its length with the latest Duster which measures 4,343 mm in length.
Design-wise, the new EcoSport SUV will feature a fresh front grille, sharper LED headlamps, prominent bumpers, new dual-tone alloy wheels, body-coloured door handles, and roof rails. It could also receive a new exterior colour option.
Features-wise, the new Ford EcoSport will get a fresh equipment list comprising features like a larger touchscreen, wireless charging, automatic climate control, 360-degree camera, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. An ADAS kit could also be available for the SUV.
For the next-generation EcoSport, Ford is likely to use multiple engine choices. One of these could be a 1.0-litre EcoBoost mild hybrid 3-cylinder petrol engine.
As of now, Ford has not confirmed to launch of the new EcoSport in India. However, it was available in the Indian market as a sub 4m SUV. If the new model launches here, it will rival Tata Nexon, Kia Sonet, Maruti Suzuki Brezza, and Hyundai Venue.
