Nissan India conducted its ‘Move Beyond’ event today in New Delhi, where the company showcased its future plans to the country. Riding on the success of the Magnite, sub-compact SUV, the brand plans to strengthen its SUV portfolio with the launch of numerous globally popular models in the country. The Nissan Qashqai, Juke and the X-Trail will be the SUVs used for this pilot test. All new models from Nissan will come with e-power hybrid or electric technology and the X-Trail will be the first product to launch once testing is complete.

Now in its 4th generation, the new Nissan X-Trail will showcase the company’s global design language in the country. The car will feature the familiar trapezoidal front grille along with a split design for the headlamp. The first is a 1.0-litre 3-cylinder turbo petrol unit producing 115 bhp and 200 Nm of torque with overboost, while the other is a new 4-cylinder unit mated to an electric motor.
