Tata Motors will launch Harrier EV on June 3, 2025 Tata to Launch Sierra EV and Avinya in 2026-27 Avinya Sportback will arrive as brand's flagship model
In order to further boost EV sales, Tata Motors is planning to introduce new premium electric SUVs in the country in the next 1-2 years. The homegrown automaker will introduce 3 new electric vehicles including the Harrier EV, Sierra EV and the Avinya over the period of next 2 years.
Tata Motors will launch the Harrier EV in the country on June 3. Adding to it, the Sierra EV will arrive in our market in the end of this financial year. Moreover, Tata will introduce its luxury EV brand - the Avinya in India in 2026. A luxury electric SUV under the Tata Avinya nameplate will be introduced in our market.

Tata Motors had showcased the production-version of the Harrier EV at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Global Expo. The electric SUV looks largely identical to the ICE-powered model; however, Tata Motors has made several EV-specific changes. It is expected to be equipped with features like V2L, V2X and the ‘Summon’ feature.
The Summon feature is basically a self-park feature, which is most likely to be offered on the top-spec model. Tata Motors has not revealed the battery pack and other details of the Harrier EV. It is likely to be offered with two battery pack options - a 60kWh and a 75kWh. The electric SUV comes with dual-motor AWD system and offers a range of over 500kms in a single charge.
Estimated to be priced in the range of Rs 22 lakh to Rs 30 lakh, the Harrier EV will rival the likes of the BYD Atto 3, Hyundai Creta Electric and MG ZS EV.

Tata Motors will re-introduce the next-gen Sierra lifestyle SUV in the country in 2025-26. In the new avatar, the Tata Sierra will come with three powertrain options - petrol, diesel and electric. Tata Motors will first launch the Sierra ICE during festive season, EV is expected in the end of this financial year.
The Tata Sierra electric is likely to share the battery packs with Harrier EV. However, the Sierra EV is expected to be offered with a FWD (front-wheel drive) setup. It will be branded as a lifestyle SUV and is likely to come with 5-seat and 4-seat configurations. The later will be a lounge version with captain seats with ottoman function in the second-row.
Tata Motors will launch two new products based on the Avinya concept. The company will first launch the Avinya Sportback in 2026. It is reported that the homegrown UV maker is planning to price the new electric SUV aggressively.
In fact, the price of the Tata Avinya could shock Mahindra, which sells the XEV 9e and BE 6 electric SUV Coupes at an aggressive price tag. Tata Motors had showcased the Avinya concept in April 2022. This concept previews the brand’s future design language for a premium electric vehicles range. It will debut Tata’s “Gen 3 architecture.” At the 2025 Bharat Mobility Global Expo, Tata Motors showcased the Avinya X concept that previews the brand’s future e-SUV. It could be offered in 5, 6 and 7-seat layout.
