Mahindra XUV700 SUV, first launched in India in 2021, is one of the top volume generators for the indigenous automaker. Since its market arrival, the model has received multiple updates, including an initial software and feature upgrades in 2022, new variants and features in 2023 and big updates and special editions in 2024. Now, the SUV is ready for its 2025 model year update in the second half of the year. Interestingly, the 2025 Mahindra XUV700 facelift could be rebranded as the Mahindra XUV 7XO, similar to what the carmaker did with the XUV 3XO.
Here’re all key details of the Mahindra XUV 7XO (Mahindra XUV700 facelift) we know so far:
- Minimal design changes are expected. The updated XUV700 will continue to feature the familiar grille with outwardly bent vertical bars, headlamps with large C-shaped DRLs dropping down into the bumper, angular taillamps, pop-out door handles and twin five-spoke alloy wheels.
- Major changes will be made inside the cabin. The Mahindra XUV 7XO is likely to borrow several features from the XEV e9 including the augmented reality-based HUD (head-up display) and a 16-speaker Harman Kardon sound system. It might also source a triple screen layout, NFC phone or key card-based car unlocking, and a two-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated Mahindra logo.
- Reports also suggest that the 2025 Mahindra XUV700 facelift might also get an integrated selfie camera, auto parking feature, and double wireless phone charging for the driver and passenger.
- The interior layout will remain unchanged. The updated XUV700 will retain most of its features from the pre-facelift including wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, electrically adjustable second row seats (6-seater version), ventilated seats, adaptive cruise control, a 360 degree camera, blind view monitor, dual zone climate control, Level 2 ADAS, 7 airbags, tyre pressure monitoring system, a panoramic sunroof, etc.
- The Mahindra XUV 7XO will retain the existing powertrains, which include a 2.0L, 4-cylinder turbo petrol and a 2.2L, 4-cylinder mHawk turbo diesel. The petrol motor pushes out a maximum power of 200 bhp and 380 Nm of torque, while the oil burner delivers 155 bhp/360 Nm and 185 bhp/ 420 Nm.
- The SUV will continue to come with the four drive modes – Zip, Zap, Zoom and Custom. Transmission options will also be the same – a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic.
