The utility vehicle (UV) segment, featuring Brezza, Ertiga, Fronx, Grand Vitara, XL6, Jimny, and Invicto - sold 48,695 units, down from 61,549 units last year. UV sales have been on a downward trend in the April-September 2025 period, signaling challenges in the growing SUV market.
The light commercial vehicle (LCV) category, dominated by the Super Carry, contributed to overall numbers, taking total domestic sales (PV + LCV) to 1,35,711 units. Additionally, Maruti Suzuki supplied 11,750 units to Toyota, helping boost its overall domestic tally to 1,47,461 units. Despite the dip, OEM partnerships continue to support the company’s domestic performance.
Exports remained a bright spot for Maruti Suzuki. 42,204 units were shipped overseas, up from 27,728 units in September 2024. For April-September 2025, total exports reached 2,07,459 units, showing strong global demand for Maruti cars.
When combining domestic sales, LCVs, OEM supply, and exports, Maruti Suzuki achieved 1,89,665 units in total sales, marking a 2.67% year-on-year growth compared to 1,84,727 units in September 2024.
Maruti Suzuki’s September 2025 sales show that while the domestic market is slowing, exports and compact cars are keeping the company on track, highlighting a shift in focus towards global markets and high-demand segments.
