New 2026 Maruti Brezza – Key Details You Should Know Before Launch

2026 Brezza might get a new 1.0L turbo petrol engine. It could be offered with ADAS and a larger touchscreen.

Maruti Suzuki Brezza, one of India’s best-selling SUVs, is set to receive a major midlife update in the coming months. The updated model is currently undergoing extensive testing, and frequent sightings of its test mules have revealed several interesting details. The new 2026 Maruti Brezza facelift will witness subtle design changes and feature enhancements, while the biggest upgrade might be the introduction of a new 1.0L turbo petrol engine along with a 6-speed manual transmission.

New Turbo-Petrol Engine & Gearbox

According to reports, the new Maruti Brezza could be offered with a 1.0L Boosterjet turbocharged petrol engine, paired with a new 6-speed manual gearbox. This 3-cylinder engine currently powers the Fronx compact crossover, where it produces a maximum power of 100PS and 147.6Nm of torque. With the smaller turbo-petrol engine, select variants of the new Brezza will attract lower GST benefits.

Underbody CNG & Same Petrol Engine

The updated model lineup might also retain the existing 1.5L naturally aspirated petrol engine and CNG powertrain. Previous spy shots have confirmed that the new Brezza will get an underbody CNG tank similar to the Maruti Victoris. This CNG tank arrangement will free up additional boot space.

ADAS & More Features?

Inside, the new 2026 Maruti Brezza facelift is likely to offer a larger 10.1-inch central touchscreen infotainment system, replacing the existing 9-inch unit. This display could be borrowed from the Maruti Victoris. The subcompact SUV might also get a redesigned dashboard, new upholstery and trims. One of its test mules was spied with a radar housing integrated on the front grille, hinting at the presence of an ADAS suite.

Minimal Design Updates

Most of the design changes are expected at the front fascia. The new Maruti Brezza could feature a newly-designed grille, reshaped fog lamp assembly, a tweaked bumper and a thicker silver faux skid plate. However, the headlamps are likely to remain unchanged. Other design changes might include newly-designed alloy wheels and a revised rear bumper.
