Renault Bridger Launch in 2027 Boxy and rugged design with high-ground clearance Petrol, hybrid and electric powertrains
The French automaker, Renault recently revealed its new global Bridger compact SUV concept. This concept previews a new compact SUV for India, which is expected to be introduced sometime in 2027. Measuring under 4 meters in length, the Renault Bridger will sit between the Kiger and Duster in Renault India’s line-up. This will be marketed as a lifestyle SUV with boxy and rugged design, a large ground clearance and spacious, feature-loaded cabin.
The Bridger concept features a boxy design with massive front face, squared-wheel arches, and a tailgate-mounted spare wheel. Renault claims that the compact SUV will offer a class-leading rear knee room and a 400-litre boot. Based on the R-GMP platform, the Renault Bridger will be offered with multiple powertrain options such as petrol, hybrid and EV.
1.0L, 3-cylinder turbo petrol - 99bhp and 160Nm, 6-speed MT and CVT
Hybrid Powertrain - Likely to be a 1.2L petrol engine with a strong hybrid setup
Electric - front-axle mounted electric motor

Upfront is a striking LED lights and illuminated Renault lettering across grille.

Silhouette offers a boxy shape, squared-wheel arches, thick body cladding and blacked-out pillars.

At the back, the SUV gets tailgate-mounted spare wheel for rugged appeal and shorp-looking LED tail-lights.

The concept has uniquely designed 18-inch alloys along with a high ground clearance.

The SUV has a blacked-out, flat roof with prominent roof rails, while the bonnet is finished in black paint.

It gets uniquely styled tail-lamps enclosed in black-finished plastic, while the tailgate has integrated rear door handle and spare wheel mount.
Complementing the boxy shape is the squared-shaped rear profile with a flat tailgate and rugged lower bumper.

The aggressive front has rugged-looking lower bumper that houses a muscular skid plate and a wide air dam.
Production version will remain true to its concept, launch expected in H2, 2027.
