Skoda Kodiaq RS launch expected in June 2026. 265bhp turbo-petrol engine with AWD performance. Sportier styling, premium cabin and ADAS safety tech.
Skoda Kodiaq RS, the performance version of the 7-seater SUV, is set to launch in June 2026. However, it’s exact launch date has not yet been announced. It will be the first RS- badged Skoda SUV in India, featuring sportier cosmetic enhancements and a more powerful engine compared to the standard Kodiaq. The model is likely to arrive as a CBU (Completely Built Unit) in limited numbers.
Under the hood, the Skoda Kodiaq RS features a 2.0L TSI turbocharged petrol engine, paired with a 7-speed DSG dual-clutch automatic transmission and AWD (all-wheel drive) system. This engine produces a maximum power of 265bhp and 400Nm of torque. Globally, it’s used in several Volkswagen Group’s performance cars including the Volkswagen Golf GTI, Tiguan R-Line and more.
This performance SUV can accelerate 0 to 100kmph in 6.3 seconds, and attain a top speed of 231kmph. The 2.0L turbo engine offers massive mid-range torque punch, while offering great stability at highway speeds.

Skoda has equipped the Kodiaq RS with several performance enhancing components such as the RS tuned suspension setup, upgraded braking system, RS-specific wheels and tyres, electronic differential and stability systems, cooking and thermal management, drive mode selector for performance mapping and a sport-tuned exhaust system.
Visually, the Skoda Kodiaq RS appears sportier than the standard Kodiaq. It features a blacked-out grille and a revised bumper with larger air openings. Other key highlights include 20-inch alloy wheels with red brake calipers, blacked-out roof rails, mirror caps and C-pillar, and a redesigned rear bumper.
Inside, the performance SUV offers an all-black cabin theme with contrasting red accents and stitching. The heavily bolstered seats have RS branding integrated into the headrests. Features such as a larger 13-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a digital instrument cluster, ventilated, heated and massaging front seats, three-zone climate control, a HUD (head-up display), ambient lighting, multiple wireless chargers and a powered tailgate are expected to be part of the package.
On the safety front, the global-spec Skoda Kodiaq RS offers 9 airbags, electronic parking brake with auto hold, Level 2 ADAS suite, hill hold assist, electronic stability control, front and rear parking sensors and a 360-degree camera.
Since this performance SUV will be imported as a CBU unit, it’s expected to command a premium price tag of around Rs 55 lakh – Rs 60 lakh (ex-showroom). Once launched, it will compete against the MG Majestor, Toyota Fortuner, Volkswagen Tayron R-Line and Jeep Grand Cherokee.
