Tata Harrier and Safari Prices Increased

Indian auto giant Tata Motors recently hiked the prices of its Safari and Harrier SUVs. The price increase is already in effect from February 2023 and is already applicable on all variants. We take a closer look at both the products concerning their price increase.

Tata Harrier and Safari: Price Hike

Both SUVs have received the maximum hike in their prices. The Harrier now becomes costlier as its new price starts from Rs 15 lakh (ex-showroom) going all the way up to Rs 22.60 lakh (ex-showroom) as for the Safari its prices range between Rs 15 lakh to Rs 24 lakh (ex-showroom). When compared to older prices there is an increase of Rs 25,000 on all variants except the entry level XE trim, which gets a price hike of Rs 20,000.

Tata Harrier And Safari: Red Dark Editions to Launch Soon

Tata is also gearing up to launch the New Red Dark Editions of the Harrier and Safari that were showcased at the recently concluded 2023 Delhi Auto Expo. The Special Edition models are supposed to feature exterior changes like a new Oberon Black body colour, red inserts on the front grille & brake calipers, gray skid plates and 18-inch black alloy wheels.

As for their interior, expect upgrades on the Red Dark Editions like a new red and black theme for the cabin. Their equipment list would include a larger 10.25-inch infotainment system compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, a 360-degree camera, and a powered driver’s seat with memory function.

Talking about the powertrain options, then they are expected to remain the same. Both SUVs will provide a 2-litre turbo diesel engine that is capable of producing a power output of 167 bhp with 350 Nm of peak torque. Transmission duties here would be carried out by a 6-speed manual or a 6-torque converter automatic gearbox.
