Tata Harrier Facelift Interior Spied

Over the last couple of months, camouflaged test mules of the Tata Harrier Facelift have been spotted multiple times around the country. Now, latest spy shots give us a clear look into the upcoming SUV’s interior for the first time. We take a closer look.

In the spy shots, we can see that the Harrier Facelift’s interior has been given a mild refresh. The test mule’s cabin featured a dual-tone brown and black theme with faux wood inserts on the dashboard and brown upholstery. You can also notice the new drive mode selector, gear shifter, and the 10.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system that was introduced recently in the Tata Harrier Red Dark Edition. In terms of features, the SUV will additionally get a fully digital instrument cluster, a panoramic sunroof, iRA Connected Car Tech, ambient lighting, wireless charging, ventilated front seats, a 9-speaker audio system, 360-degree camera, and more. The facelifted version is expected to offer ADAS-functions like Autonomous Emergency Braking, Lane Change Assist, Lane Departure Warning, Forward Collision Alert, and Traffic Sign Recognition.

Tata Harrier: Exterior Design

The upcoming Tata Harrier will get a revamped exterior design inspired by the Harrier EV Concept which was showcased at the 2023 Delhi Auto Expo. The SUV’s front end would feature a more upright nose with a sharper, vertically stacked split headlight setup while a LED light bar will sit above the new horizontal-slat grille. The side profile of the four-wheeler will remain largely similar to the outgoing model. While the rear end will provide new wraparound LED tail lights which are connected by a full-width LED light bar.

Tata Harrier Facelift: Powertrain Details

Currently, Tata Harrier is offered with a sole diesel powertrain option. It is a 2-litre turbo diesel unit that makes 170 bhp with 350 Nm of peak torque. Transmission options include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox.

With the facelift, Tata Motors could introduce a new 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine that was recently showcased at the 2023 Auto Expo. This new motor is expected to deliver a power output of 170 bhp with 280 Nm of peak torque. While the transmission options here would be both manual and automatic versions. 

Tata Harrier Facelift: India Launch and Rivals

The company is yet to confirm an official launch date, expect the Harrier Facelift to go on sale by early-2024. The updated SUV will rival the likes of the Škoda Kushaq, Volkswagen Taigun, Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, MG Hector, and the Mahindra Scorpio N in its category.
