Hyundai India has hit a historic milestone in September 2025 with its highest-ever monthly SUV sales. The company's impressive performance was driven by the introduction of GST 2.0 reforms, strong festive demand, and heightened customer interest in their range of SUVs, particularly the Creta and Venue.
Hyundai’s September 2025 domestic sales reached 51,547 units, a notable increase compared to the previous year. This 10% growth is largely attributed to the GST 2.0 reforms, which provided a significant boost to customer demand across all vehicle segments.
The impact of the reforms has been felt across both domestic and export markets, allowing for synchronized growth. Hyundai has experienced a "double-engine growth," as both markets surged simultaneously.

Hyundai’s flagship model, the Creta, achieved its highest-ever monthly sales in September 2025, reaching 18,861 units. This marks a key milestone in the brand's SUV lineup, with the Creta continuing to dominate the compact SUV segment in India.
The Creta’s stellar performance is part of a broader trend, as SUVs have taken centre stage in Hyundai’s sales mix.
Hyundai Venue also posted impressive sales, recording 11,484 units in September 2025. This marks the highest monthly sales volume for the Venue in the past 20 months, further emphasizing the growing consumer preference for compact SUVs in India.
Together, the Creta and Venue contributed a record 37,313 units to Hyundai’s total domestic sales, with SUVs now accounting for 72.4% of HMIL’s total sales - the highest SUV penetration in the company’s history.
Hyundai’s commitment to ‘Make in India’ was further demonstrated by its impressive export performance. Exports rose nearly 44% year-on-year in September 2025, with 18,800 units shipped out. This is the highest monthly export volume for Hyundai in the last 33 months.
The company’s cumulative exports from April to September 2025 totalled 99,540 units, reflecting a 17% year-on-year growth. Hyundai’s export growth highlights its strategic role as a key global manufacturing hub for Hyundai Motor Company.
