Next-gen Hyundai Creta launch in 2027 Design inspired by Palisade Hybrid confirmed
The third-generation Hyundai Creta has been spotted testing again, giving us the clearest look yet at its drastically different, boxier silhouette. Hyundai is fast-tracking the all-new model to transition to the more advanced K3 platform by late 2026 or early 2027. This is the same architecture that also underpins the next-gen Kia Seltos.

The latest images reveal a departure from the “sensuous sportiness” of the current model towards a more upright, “King-size” road presence. The spy images suggest that the styling of the new Creta is heavily inspired by the new Hyundai Palisade, which is also heading to India by 2028.
Boxy Stance: The SUV appears longer and wider with a flatter bonnet and a more vertical front fascia. The new Creta is expected to ride on a longer wheelbase, around 2690mm, and the rear overhang seems slightly extended, suggesting a roomier cabin. It is expected to feature Hyundai’s signature “H” LED lighting, similar to the new Santa Fe and Exter.
19-inch Alloys: The spotted model rides on the new 19-inch dual-tone alloy wheels. These are the largest ever seen on a Creta and are likely reserved for the top-spec N-Line variant.
The previous spy images reveal that the next-gen Creta interiors will borrow heavily from Hyundai’s bigger SUVs, including the Ioniq EV series and Palisade in terms of luxury.
Boss Mode: The current model has a manual boss-mode lever, the 2027 Hyundai Creta will feature fully electric seat adjustments that rear passengers can control. Global media reports claim that the SUV will have a “Zero-Gravity” button for the front passenger seat, which reclines the seat and extends an ottoman for a lounge-like experience.
Tech Upgrade: The dashboard will be dominated by a massive curved glass panel housing two 12.3-inch screens for infotainment and digital driver’s display. This screen is likely running the latest “ccNC” software for faster response and wireless connectivity.

The next-generation Hyundai Creta will be equipped with a Strong Hybrid engine. This model will take on the likes of the Maruti Grand Vitara, Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder and the upcoming Renault Duster Hybrid.
It is expected to be offered with 4 engine options, including a 1.5-litre NA petrol, a 1.5-litre turbo petrol, a 1.5-litre CRDi diesel and a 1.5-litre Strong Hybrid. The turbo petrol engine produces 160hp and 253Nm, and is paired to either a 6-speed manual and a 7-speed DCT. The CRDi diesel engine produces 116hp and 250Nm, paired to either a 6-speed manual and a 6AT.
The strong hybrid engine is likely to be based on the 1.5L naturally-aspirated petrol engine with a small battery pack and a single electric motor. Hyundai will be targeting a fuel efficiency of around 25kmpl.
