The next couple of months will be bring lots of excitement for Indian car enthusiasts, a wide range of new SUVs are ready to hit showrooms. While Tata Motors will bring back the iconic Sierra, Maruti Suzuki set to unleash two new mid-sized SUVs - Victoris/Escudo through ARENA and e Vitara through NEXA. The new-gen Hyundai Venue and VinFast’s VF6 and VF7 will be launched in the next couple of months.

Maruti Suzuki will launch the long-awaited e Vitara electric SUV in the month of September 2025. The company has already started production of the SUV and its first unit has been rolled out by Narendra Modi from Suzuki’s Hansalpur, Gujarat facility. This electric SUV will be exported to over 100 countries, including Europe and Japan.
This electric SUV will be available with two battery pack options - 61.1kWh and 48.9kWh - both paired to a front-axle-mounted electric motor. The higher-spec model will offer a range of up to 500km on a single charge. It will directly rival the Hyundai Creta Electric, MG ZS EV, and Mahindra BE 6.

Maruti Suzuki will launch an all-new mid-sized SUV on September 3, 2025. Rumoured to be called either Escudo or Victoris, the new Maruti SUV will be retailed through ARENA dealership network. It will be positioned between the Brezza and Grand Vitara, in terms of pricing. The SUV will share powertrain options, including 1.5L NA petrol and 1.5L TNGA hybrid with Grand Vitara.
It is reportedly to be offered with an underbody CNG tank, LEVEL 2 ADAS, panoramic sunroof, powered tailgate and LEVEL 2 ADAS. The SUV is also expected to be offered with an AWD drivetrain. It will be the first Maruti Suzuki to offer DOLBY ATMOS for an immersive sound experience.

The VinFast VF6 and VF7 electric SUVs will go on sale in the country in September 2025. Bookings for the new electric SUVs are already begins across India, while deliveries are expected to begin in October 2025. The VF6 will directly rival the Tata Curvv EV, Hyundai Creta Electric and others in the category. It will come with two variants - Eco and Plus - both featuring a 59.6kWh battery. The Eco variant offers a range of 410km, while the Plus variant delivers 379km on a single charge.
The VinFast VF7 will challenge the likes of the Hyundai Ioniq 5, BYD Sealion 7 and Kia EV6. It is fitted with a 70.8kWh battery pack with a front-axle-mounted electric motor, and offers a range of up to 450km on a single charge.

The iconic Tata Sierra nameplate will come in an electric avatar this October 2025. The new Sierra EV will be a lifestyle electric SUV and will rival the likes of the Mahindra BE 6 and BYD Atto 3. It will be based on the Acti.ev GEN 2 platform that also underpins the Punch EV and Curvv EV.
The Tata Sierra EV is likely to share the battery packs with the Harrier EV, is available with 65kWh and 75kWh batteries. It will be a front wheel drive SUV; however, Tata could offer a dual-motor AWD set-up. The SUV should offer a realistic range of up to 500km in a single charge.

The next-gen Venue compact SUV is likely to be launched in the Indian market on October 24, 2025. The new SUV has already been caught testing numerous times, revealing its design and interiors. It retains the original boxy design, but has new styling elements in-line with the latest Creta and Alcazar facelift.
Big changes will be made inside the cabin, as the next-gen Hyundai Venue will have a newly styled curved connected screen for infotainment and instrument panel. Hyundai has decided to keep physical buttons for most of the operations, including AC and music. The SUV will continue to be offered with the existing engine options - a 1.2L NA petrol, a 1.0L 3-cylinder, turbo petrol and a 1.5L turbo diesel.
