In the domestic market, Toyota sold 3,67,107 units in FY26, marking a 19% increase over the previous year. Exports witnessed an even stronger growth of 41%, reaching 38,974 units.

This balanced performance across segments has played a key role in Toyota’s overall growth.

New launches and updates drive demand

Toyota’s growth was supported by multiple product updates and new introductions during the year. Models like the Toyota Land Cruiser 300, Toyota Fortuner and Toyota Legender continued to attract buyers.

Special editions of popular models such as the Toyota Innova Hycross and Toyota Camry Hybrid also helped maintain strong interest in the lineup.

Toyota also strengthened its safety offerings by standardising six airbags across several models. Cars like the Toyota Glanza, Toyota Urban Cruiser Taisor and Hyryder benefited from this move.

Additionally, the Toyota Innova Hycross securing a 5-star Bharat NCAP rating further boosted buyer confidence.

Brand engagement and future plans

The company also focused on improving customer engagement through various initiatives and experiences. These efforts helped Toyota connect with a wider audience, including younger buyers.

Looking ahead, Toyota plans to continue investing in hybrid and electrified technologies. The brand remains focused on strengthening its product portfolio and improving the overall ownership experience.
