Maruti Suzuki has launched the updated 2025 Fronx with major safety changes. The compact SUV now comes with six airbags as standard across all trims, making it one of the safest options in its segment. Prices for the updated Fronx range between Rs 7.59 lakh and Rs 12.95 lakh (ex-showroom).

Previously, six airbags were only available on the top three trims of the Fronx – Delta+, Zeta, and Alpha. Now, even the base Sigma and Delta trims come with six airbags as standard. This update makes safety a key selling point for the Fronx, aligning it with Maruti's commitment to enhancing vehicle safety.
Along with the inclusion of six airbags, the Fronx sees a uniform price increase of Rs 4,000 across most variants, except for the Delta+ petrol models. Additional safety features include Electronic Stability Program (ESP) with hill hold, 3-point seatbelts with reminders for all passengers, and ISOFIX anchorages for child safety seats.
One feature that remains exclusive to the higher trims is the reverse parking camera, which is only available from the second-from-top Zeta trim. This upgrade further improves safety and convenience, especially for parking in tight spaces.
This update is part of Maruti Suzuki's broader strategy to include six airbags in all of its cars. As announced earlier this year by Maruti Suzuki chairman, R C Bhargava, the company aims to offer six airbags in all its models by the end of 2025. The Fronx now joins the ranks of other Maruti models, including the Baleno, XL6, and Ertiga, which already offer six airbags as standard.
While the Fronx has received its safety upgrades, the Ignis from the Nexa lineup and the S-Presso from the Arena lineup are yet to be updated with six airbags. Maruti Suzuki is expected to introduce this safety feature in both models soon.
