Maruti Suzuki Planning 4 New SUVs For India In 2026-27

Maruti Suzuki is set to launch four new SUVs in 2026-27. Brezza turbo, Fronx hybrid and a new 7-seater SUVs on the launch plan.

Under its Vision 3.0 market strategy, Maruti Suzuki aims to expand its product portfolio, adopt multi-powertrain approach, and double production capacity and triple exports by FY2030-31. The carmaker will expand its model lineup from 19 to 29 models, with a strong focus on SUV segment.

As part of this strategy, Maruti Suzuki is set to introduce four major SUVs in 2026-27, including the Brezza, Fronx and Grand Vitara facelifts and a new premium three-row SUV.

New Maruti Brezza Facelift

Brezza facelift

The new 2026 Maruti Brezza facelift is likely to receive its biggest upgrade in the form of a 1.0L turbo petrol engine borrowed from the Fronx. This engine could be paired with a new 6-speed manual gearbox. Spy shots reveal that the new Brezza could also get a larger infotainment along with new trims and additional features.

Maruti Fronx Hybrid

The Maruti Fronx facelift might arrive in 2027 with the addition of a new strong hybrid powertrain. It could become the brand’s first model to debut with Maruti Suzuki’s in-house developed series hybrid technology. The compact crossover might also get an ADAS suite as one of its test mules was spotted with a radar-based ADAS sensor system. Minor cosmetic changes are also expected.

Maruti Grand Vitara Facelift

The Maruti Grand Vitara midsize SUV is likely to receive a major midlife update in the second half of 2026. The updated model is expected to feature subtle design changes and feature enhancements, while continuing with the existing petrol mild hybrid and strong hybrid powertrain options.

7-Seater Maruti Grand Vitara

Maruti Suzuki is also working on a new premium three-row SUV, which is expected to be based on the Grand Vitara. The upcoming model will share its platform, engines, components, features and several design elements with its 5-seater sibling. However, it will be longer than the standard Grand Vitara to accommodate an additional row of seats.
