After the successful launch of Skoda Kylaq, the Czech automaker is switching its focus to other car models. The brand recently released new sketches of the updated Enyaq and its Coupe electric iteration. It is also believed that the new-gen Kodiaq will also be showcased at the upcoming Bharat Mobility Global Expo in January 2025. While in the market, it could be launched in mid-2025. Upon launch, it will rival Toyota Fortuner, Volkswagen Taigun, and Hyundai Tucson.
Skoda unveiled the second-generation Kodiaq internationally in October 2023. Later, the SUV was spotted on Indian roads in June 2024. Previous sightings have already revealed its design and features.
The 2025 Skoda Kodiaq will highlight the brand's Modern Solid design language. It will feature updated front grille, LED headlamps, and the U-shaped LED tail lights.
It will have more interior space and boot space since it will be slightly longer in size, compared to the current model. The SUV could also be available in both 5-seater and 7-seater layouts.
In terms of features, it will get a 13-inch infotainment system, a 2-spoke steering wheel, a new Smart Dial setup, a 10-inch digital instrument cluster, and an ADAS suite.
The new Kodiaq could be available in two different variants. Under the hood, it will continue to be powered by the 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine as the current model. Paired with a 7-speed DSG, this unit can produce a maximum power of 187 bhp and 320 Nm. The higher trims could get the 4-wheel drive setup.
