2026 Taigun facelift details revealed New design, features and gearbox expected Launch likely by mid-2026
Volkswagen Taigun facelift has been spotted testing once again, revealing new details about its updated design and features. The 2026 Volkswagen Taigun facelift is expected to launch around mid-2026 and will bring several styling and tech upgrades.
Recent spy shots show a nearly production-ready model, suggesting that the Volkswagen Taigun facelift 2026 is in its final stages of testing.

The 2026 Taigun facelift gets a refreshed front look. The current rectangular headlamps are replaced with new curved, eye-shaped units.
The LED DRLs are now thicker and more noticeable. Earlier sightings also hinted at a full-width LED light strip and an illuminated Volkswagen logo, giving the SUV a more premium feel.
The front bumper has been redesigned with horizontal slats, replacing the older mesh pattern.
The side profile of the New Taigun remains mostly unchanged.
However, the Volkswagen Taigun facelift gets new alloy wheels with a blacked-out finish. Dual-tone alloys are also expected in higher variants. Other elements like roof rails, shark fin antenna, and strong shoulder lines continue as before.
At the rear, the 2026 Volkswagen Taigun facelift is expected to feature larger tail lamps.
These could be connected by an LED strip, following modern design trends. An illuminated logo at the back is also likely, similar to updates seen on the Skoda Kushaq facelift.
The rear bumper has been updated for a cleaner and more refined look.
While the cabin of the Volkswagen Taigun facelift 2026 has not been revealed yet, it is expected to get several upgrades.
The New Taigun may offer a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, a larger touchscreen infotainment system, and a panoramic sunroof. Features like ventilated seats, powered front seats, and even a rear seat massage function could also be introduced.
An AI-based companion app powered by Google is also expected.

One of the key updates in the 2026 Taigun facelift could be a new automatic transmission.
The 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine is likely to get an 8-speed torque converter automatic gearbox, replacing the current 6-speed unit. This change could improve both performance and fuel efficiency.
The 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine will continue with the 7-speed DSG gearbox, along with manual options.
