Tata Motors has silently delisted the Nexon Jet Edition from its official website. Offered alongside the Dark and Kaziranga Editions in August 2022, the Jet edition was offered in a unique Starlight colour. However, low demand for the variant is the likely reason behind its discontinuation.
Tata Nexon EV Jet Edition when introduced last year featured a unique colour option called Starlight. It offered a dual-tone platinum silver roof and a bronze finish, piano black front grille, and jet black alloy wheels that were exclusive to the variant.
On the inside, the SUV featured unique design elements like the ‘Jet’ logo on the front headrests, dual-tone black and white interior, bronze stitching, and black trim on the dashboard. Other notable equipment included a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment screen with Apple CarPlay and Android auto, a digital instrument cluster, ventilated front seats, an electric sunroof, cruise control, a tyre pressure monitoring system, and more.
Tata offered the Jet Edition with both the Nexon ICE and EV models. You could opt for a 1.2-litre 3-pot turbo-petrol making 120 bhp with 170 Nm of peak torque or a 1.5-litre 4-cylinder turbo diesel pumping out 108 bhp with 260 Nm torque.
If you had opted for the electric model of the subcompact, there were two battery packs on offer. You could either choose from a 30.2 kWh battery or the larger 40.5 kWh unit. Both used a single front axle mounted electric motor. The combined power output of the 30.2 kWh battery pack stood at 127bhp with 245 Nm torque while the 40.5 kWh unit delivered 141 bhp and 250 Nm torque. The former had a range of 312 kms while the latter delivered 437 Kms on a single full charge.
Talking about the pricing, the Nexon Jet Edition was priced between Rs 12.13 lakh - Rs 14.08 lakh (ex-showroom) for the ICE-powered models while the EV Jet Edition came for Rs 17.19 lakh (ex-showroom).
