The South Korean automaker, Kia is rolling up its sleeves to launch their new Syros SUV. Scheduled to be launched on 19th December 2024, the compact SUV will fill the gap between Sonet and Seltos. Ahead of its official arrival, the brand has dropped multiple teasers, revealing essential details regarding dimensions, design language, top-notch features, and multiple powertrains.
Here, we will discuss everything we know so far about the new Kia Syros compact SUV.

The fresh teaser revealed the dimensions of the Kia Syros. It measures 3,995 mm in length, 1,800 mm in width and 1,665 mm in height. It has a wheelbase of 2,550 mm. Although the Syros will occupy the sub 4m segment, it would yet be bigger than the Kia Sonet, which measures 3,995 mm in length, 1,790 mm in width, and 1,642 mm in height.

With the launch of the new Syros SUV, Kia is using a different approach by using a new 2.0 design strategy. This approach will result in distinctive styling, making the SUV more unusual than other Kia SUVs in the market.
Based on the latest teaser, the Syros highlights prominent silver cladding on the doors and flush-type door handles. It also boasts its vertically stacked 3-pod LED headlights and LED DRLs. Other exterior features include elongated roof rails, large window panels, and L-shaped LED taillights.

The cabin of the Kia Syros will have a premium feel with loads of smart features. The SUV will have slidable and reclining rear seats with ventilation functionality. It will also have a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, which is the largest in the segment. It offers a boot space of 465 litres.
Other noteworthy features include a Harman-Kardon-sourced sound system, 360-degree parking camera, two sunroof options (single-pane for lower trims & panoramic for higher trims), a 12.3-inch digital driver's display, and a Heads-Up Display.
Kia Syros will have segment-leading features. It will come with a Level 2 ADAS suite. It will comprise features such as Adaptive Cruise Control, Blind Spot Monitoring, Lane Assist, Autonomous Emergency Braking, and more.
Some of the safety features might include six airbags as standard, reversing camera, ISOFIX child seat anchorages, and Electronic Stability Control.
Kia Syros will be offered in 6 variants - HTK, HTK (O), HTK+, HTX+, and HTX+ (O).
The SUV will be powered by two engine choices; a turbo petrol and a diesel unit. The 1.0-litre turbo petrol can produce 118 bhp and 172 Nm of torque while its 1.5-litre diesel can pump out 114 bhp and 250 Nm of torque. Transmission choices will include 6-speed manual, 7-speed DCT, and 6-speed torque converter automatic gearboxes.
The South Korean manufacturer has revealed many details of its upcoming SUV. Price for the Kia Syros is expected to be revealed in January 2025, most probably at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Show. As for our expectation, it could be priced somewhere between Rs 8 lakh to Rs 10 lakh (ex-showroom).
