Mahindra recently launched its new electric car, XEV 9e, in India. The three variants of this new electric car, include Pack One, Two, and Three. At the time of launch, the company had only announced the base model price. However, the brand has now revealed the price of the top variant which stands at Rs 30.90 lakh. The full price list of XEV 9e will be released at Bharat Mobility Show 2025.
Bookings for the top-spec variant, Pack Three, will be available from February 14, 2025 and deliveries are expected to start in March 2025.
Here's a detailed comparison of base variant, Pack One, and top-spec variant, Pack Three, of Mahindra XEV 9e.
The Mahindra XEV 9e Pack One costs Rs. 21.90 lakh ex-showroom and is thus an inexpensive offering for entering the electric vehicle market. While the Pack Three is the high-end variant with a price of Rs. 30.90 lakh ex-showroom. In short, it has a huge price difference in terms of features, battery options, and performance between the two.
Pack One comes with a 59 kWh battery. It delivers 227.84 bhp of power and 380 Nm of torque, with a range of 542 km. The XEV 9e Pack One is available only with a rear-wheel drive (RWD) option.
Pack Three has two battery options, one of 59 kWh identical to Pack One and a more extensive 79 kWh battery. The smaller battery version comes with the same 227.84 bhp of power and 380 Nm torque, while the bigger battery version offers 282.08 bhp of power. The range of Pack Three is 542 km and 656 km, respectively. It has the ability to support faster charging through a 175 kW DC fast charger, that can fill up the battery from 20% to 80% in only 20 minutes.
The design of Pack One version is sporty and minimalist, boasting an illuminated 'Infinity' badge, 19-inch wheels with fancy covers, a connected LED DRLs (Daytime Running Lights), and LED tail lamps. The interiors come with fabric upholstery and triple 12.3-inch screens which includes a co-driver screen, a central hub for infotainment, and a digital driver's display. It supports wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, with pre-installed OTT apps. Audio is handled through 4 speakers and 2 tweeters, which makes it decent sound quality.
While the design of Pack Three is more premium and has connected LED DRLs that stretch on the sides of the headlight. The grille is blanked off, which makes it a very modern and clean look. Lower bumper features a pretty rugged look thanks to the massive chunky skid plate. The XEV 9e Pack Three comes with this SUV-coupe kind of silhouette with its sloping roofline, wheel option with (19-inch, 20-inch) dual-tone alloy. Inside, Pack Three comes with leatherette upholstery, a layered dashboard, three 12.3-inch screens, a panoramic glass roof, multi-zone AC, ventilated and powered front seats, head-up display and a Harman Kardon audio system with 16 speakers.
The Base variant is included with all safety features as basic, such as 6 airbags, rear parking sensors, rain-sensing wipers, and an electronic parking brake. It also carries driver drowsiness detection, and TPMS. Level 2 ADAS is not given in the lowest variant, although it is part of the above variants.
The high-spec model include all the safety features from Pack One with some further more advanced ones. Pack Three features 7 airbags, a 360-degree camera, and ISOFIX child seat mounts. Most importantly, it gets Level-2 ADAS, which comprises features like autonomous emergency braking, lane-keep assist, forward collision warning, and adaptive cruise control. It also comes with a park assist feature that makes parking much easier and safer.
