Buying a BMW usually means that you are doing well in life. The German automaker offers a whole range of luxury cars across several different segments. But with brands like Mercedes-Benz, Audi and Jaguar competing in the same categories, what makes the Munich brand worth it over its rivals? Today we take a look at reasons why you should buy a BMW car.

Buying a New BMW makes a whole lot of sense if you are in the market for a new luxury car in India, especially if performance and sportiness is a key factor. Very few taglines define brand identity like it Ultimate Driving Machine does for the Munich-based automaker, which is renowned for making some of the best handling models in the world. Every BMW model, from the entry-level 1-series to the flagship M8, out performs most of its rivals when it comes to pure driving experience.
The sporty tilt also means BMW cars usually have a more aggressive design language than their peers, meaning more often than not it catches your attention first. However, this doesn’t mean a BMW is uncomfortable or hard to live with, in fact, it is the opposite. Yes, they may ride a bit firmer compared to their rivals but remain a very comfortable car to drive or be driven around in.

All BMW cars come loaded to the brim with features. Highlights include BMW iDrive, the brand’s infotainment system which is currently in its 8th generation and gets a new range of displays, controls and software.
With BMW adopting a new interior design and layout, across the range you get a new curved display setup that features a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 14.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system. Other notable equipment include multi-zone climate control, a panoramic sunroof, multiple driving modes, connected car tech, premium audio setup, and more. The automaker also has started offering ADAS-tech on its cars, allowing them up to Level 2 semi-autonomous driving capabilities.

While buying a new luxury car from any of the established brands is a pretty great choice, purchasing a BMW has some additional benefits like -
Affordability -
BMW is a premium brand making luxury cars, and even though they are expensive, an entry-level model is not unattainable. Both the X1 SUV and 2 Series sedan starts from Rs 41.50 lakh (ex-showroom) in India. For comparison, a mid-spec Toyota Fortuner costs around Rs 42 lakh (ex-showroom).
Resale value -
Being a premium brand also means that BMW cars tend to hold their value a fair bit stronger over its period of ownership. This helps when you choose to sell your car eventually, as lower depreciation means you will get a better-than-average deal.
